Concept of Break the Chain - Dr Priya Prabhu

What is the concept of Break the Chain ?

Concept of break the Chain

If you want to control any disease, there is no alternative to Break the Chain...

In my first class in clinical posting of 6th sem, I will tell about 3 R (Reservoir, Route of Transmission and Recipient) and 3 C (Case, Contact and Community).

A good doctor not only cures the patient but also gives the right advice to break the chain of transmission / chain of infection to avoid spreading the disease to others.

Most of the insects that cause diseases usually cannot live outside the body (there are exceptions to the rule).

In the eyes of germs -

In order to complete their life, every animal has to create infection from the Portal of Entry through various ways of entering the susceptible host of a newly infected person's body using the Reservoir door (Portal of exit). Otherwise germs can't survive.

In the view of humans -

Understand such Chain of Infection / Infection series for every animal and break that chain to prevent the growth of germs - alternatively prevent the growth of patients.

Today, the diseases which are controlled by humans, have been achieved by this way. Just break the chain!

Now we are using this remedy against Corona too! Right from the beginning..

Let's see how it is -

Link in the series and the remedy on it

1. disinfectants (Corona virus) - Use of disinfectants. (sanitizer)

2. Virus reservoir (patient) - Isolation if infected - Isolation, treatment, 14 days isolation if contacted with patient, test as soon as symptoms start

3. Exit Gates (Nose / Mouth) - Proper use of mask

4. spread routes (from air / surface) - maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, not going to confined space, increase airpace, not removing mask, sterilizing surfaces, hand hygiene, not eating / drinking together

5. Entrance Gate (nose, mouth, eyes) - not touching face, nose, mouth, safe nose and mouth using mask, use shield / goggles

6. infectious persons (each person) - Proper use of mask, not meeting others without mandatory work, vaccination, healthy lifestyle

From last March, the government had made various rules to break this series which the people did not follow wholeheartedly. Unity did not cooperate with the administration.

The public did not follow these rules that Corona will be frightened. This chain of infection strengthens for Corona and the number of patients increases rapidly.

At this time, the government has to impose various restrictions to break this chain and still if the chain is not broken then it has to be locked down for 2 to 4 weeks.

Let's see how lockdown breaks this series.

Patients with

1. virus stored stay at their own homes and cannot spread the infection by going out. (Infection starts to spread two days before symptoms appear so it doesn't mean the patient's fault) If symptoms appear, they are expected to seek proper treatment with medical advice.

2. Those who have been infected by coming in contact with a patient unknowingly but no symptoms yet, such people also stay at home. Their symptoms appear within 14 days and stops the spread ahead of them.

3. infectious people also stay in their own homes. Because they don't want to go out, they do n'T come in contact with infected / infected people and therefore this chain of infection is broken.

If you want to stay together, the disease should not go from a patient to a single person.

This can happen if the people follow all rules correctly.

But the people are divided.

Confused to read the various forwards in WA.

And so following the rules is cowardice and breaking the rules is bravery.

Lockdown is from tomorrow night 14th April because if we do not break the chain now, the number of patients will increase and thousands of deaths per day.

It is only in our hands to avoid this.

Let's break this corona infection chain using all measures during lockdown and of course after lockdown.. Let's contribute to the security of Maharashtra and the country!

Will you do so much for your beloved country?
